An Abeking & Rasmussen yacht is much more than just a key to great experiences. It is “THE” experience itself.
Thanks to the highest “Made in Germany” quality standards, it brings nothing but pure joy to its owner right from the start. And it excels in keeping its high resale value. In many cases, much higher than the original.
The story of Abeking & Rasmussen begins with the longing for the sea – and with Henry Rasmussen, named Jimmy, born in 1877 in Denmark. The talented sprout of a boat builder family follows his vocation to Bremen, a center of shipbuilding. Starting from 1892 the young engineer works in the famous Vulkanwerft. In 1907, he took over the yachting and boatyard Abeking & Rasmussen in Vegesack – Lemwerder. This is the reason why he has the reputation not to be one of the largest, but the best shipbuilders in the world – a fact which is famous for both yacht and marina shipbuilding. When it was first and foremost legendary sailing ships, the focus shifted in the direction of motor yachts in the 70s. Today, the shipyard is building a wide variety, now up to 125 m long custom yachts, which still inspire and set standards.
