Omega Architects

‘Crossing Borders and Synergy’ is the operative logo of Omega Architects. The company was founded by Frank Laupman in 1995. Ever since then, he has worked on architecture, yachts, and interiors. He was able to ‘cross the borders’ of his own background and finish designs in areas of different natures.

He established good contacts with various principals, project developers, and shipyards. To be able to meet the requirements for bigger projects, he kept searching for designers with different backgrounds and education in order to finalize them. During these years he formed a core of versatile designers who all shared the same philosophy. Besides this core of designers, there are specific professionals to provide us with technical expertise for our design work. Through the years, the members of this creative machine learned to listen to each other, create synergy and attract principals/yacht owners from across the world.

Omega Architects’ aim is to add value in different areas of design. We managed to develop similar processes for the different areas of yacht design, interior design, and architectural design. Our work does not reveal a specific style, but we fine-tune the style to the varying nature of our specific commissions. In all our commissions we follow a similar design process. For this reason, our architects and designers exchange their thoughts and specific expertise, experiencing and creating synergy and ‘building’ their shared identity.

The lively atmosphere has brought a strong combination of concept design, modern visualization techniques, and thorough technical expertise. This brings people together with different backgrounds and nationalities. The team operates in an international environment, where good communication and a strong protocol to do so, have become crucial. The different angles which require different commissions, force the team to be versatile and flexible. It inspires strong principals to talk to us and create their dreams together with us.
