Established in 2007, Lobanov Design is a studio for the future. Founded by Igor Lobanov, with offices in Moscow and Barcelona, the studio is behind multiple award-winning superyachts. Lobanov is specialized in exterior design and worked for some of the most innovative superyachts. He uses a fresh and dynamic design approach to create iconic projects.

To begin with, Lobanov grew up in Russia. In the first place, he started his pursuit of the automotive and aviation worlds. First working with an iconic automobile manufacturer, he had the opportunity to meet a superyacht owner in 2003 which changed his path entirely. The owner brought Lobanov on as his design representative, a project that was to become the mighty motor yacht A.

Lobanov quotes that “designing a very large yacht or to contribute to the top one hundred today is a big honor for Lobanov Design. Nevertheless, we are not aiming to design the largest superyacht ever or to make the greatest number of superyachts in the world. However, we certainly dream to design the most beautiful superyachts. That is our goal, and the best proof is our portfolio of projects. It is part of our job to organize the process of designing and building a new yacht and to make it enjoyable throughout the entire journey”.

Driven by a desire to see more beauty in the world, Lobanov’s designs are sculptural and modern. Through hand sketching and detail development, the studio is able to translate the client’s dreams into a customized reality. Each project is as unique as its owner. In other words, it embodies its own design language and style but is always consistent in quality and ingenuity.

In collaboration with Imperial, Lobanov Design completed AMORE VERO (85.6m) and took his attention to detail to a new level.
