Benetti Yachts is now one of the most well-known and oldest yacht-building yards in the world.

Founded by Lorenzo Benetti in 1873 in Darseno, Italy. It was in the 1960s that the shipyard produced its first luxury megayacht, and since 1980 they have produced many superyachts between 30m-60m and even larger such as the 86m Nabila, and now have several superyachts over 100m under construction.

With various other yacht-building facilities now running in Viareggio, Fano, and Livorno, Benetti has also undergone a merger with Azimut forming the Azimut-Benetti Yachts group. The Azimut-Benetti group is the largest superyacht manufacturer in the world in terms of production.
